And I'm back..

So it has been quite awhile since my last post and I've made a fair amount of things.  Nothing so fantastically amazing to post about. But I think that will change, because as of February 2nd my thesis for Masters will be handed in (and hopefully approved). Then I can get back to the things I love to do in my spare time.

So of course there is a few baby blankets (quick projects, fun results) and a little extra money. Which is always good.

 Now the shawl took quite awhile to figure out the shell stitch, one of the first I've tried. And I started this lovely project in April.. I sort of left this project alone this summer and came back to it in the fall, finally finishing it around Thanksgiving.  It became a great office chair throw, for when the office is cold enough to need a wrap or blanket over the legs.

(or at least a movie or two)  The fabulous circle scarf, which I have worn enough already to solidify that it was a good idea to make it.

The 5 hour circle scarf

Made this gift up quick last night with some Hometown USA (on sale at AC Moore right now!) and big P hook.  I just may have to whip up a few more this week. Its a 64" circle scarf made in a simple single crochet 1, skip 1 pattern. Don't ya just love that mint green?

Pay it forward 2011!

I saw this fabulous scarf a few years ago, but have been waiting for the right time to make it.. and suddenly January 2011 I finally got to it.  On January 3, 2011 I posted this on my Facebook page (I don't want to take all the credit I did see it on someone's page first), but I thought it was a lovely idea and now that its been almost three weeks... I'm done with the first commenter on my list and now onto the next.

This scarf has sooooo many beautiful flowers, but after making them and placing them, and wrapping myself up in this scarf.  I just couldn't see it being worn that often with all those flowers.  So I knocked it down to one flower and suddenly it becomes your everyday go to wool scarf with a bit a flare. 

The Enterprise!

I made this little bit of craftiness over the Thanksgiving Holiday and have been holding out on posting it until I gave it to my Secret Santa at work... or I guess that would make me the Secret Santa. Either way the one receiving it was a Trekky and was very happy with it.  I was excited to make it as well, since there aren't any patterns out their for the Starship Enterprise.  I did find a ton of R2D2 and Star Wars amigurumi patterns which made me wonder where all the trekky crocheters are at.  So here it is! To inspire those who love crochet as much as I do.. and some Star Trek.

There isn't really a pattern for this one its just two discs with a band, some cylinders, a coat hanger and some foam lettering. I guessed on most of it and got it done over the span of an evening and afternoon.  Not bad for my first attempt at aircraft I have to say.
